Allow to use ONSITE after IN status and allow IN after ONSITE status

Client requested to be able to use ONSITE after IN status and use IN status after ONSITE: Our team routinely goes onsite during the day, but we’re unable to have them set their status to “Onsite” unless they first use “Out.”
This isn’t ideal as it adds an extra step for them and inaccurately reflects that they were out before going onsite.
Is there anyway that we can have “Onsite” opened up to be able to used when the user’s last status was “IN”?
When coming back from an onsite, it would be ideal for technicians to be able to say “IN” or “BACK” but instead they have to first got to “OUT/LUNCH/BREAK”.
