We would like to apply conditional formating to messages so we can format the message so if a certain status is provided It adds additional formatting or text

Hi Brian Bossert,
While we can not add conditonal highlighting in the message, we have "Data Filter" block to add into a bot to determine what is next step. I think your request can be met using it, like the bot design in this screenshot.
