Review/check/modify permissions for Technical Admin custom role
complete
Micus
- When a new user is created/added to MSPbots, they should, by default, have limited access to any dataset/datasource.
- Access to datasets for a regular user need to be granular - start with zero or very limited access and needs to be configurable enough to be given permissions to specific datasets over time as needed.
- If they have a custom role which has been configured to limit access based on their requirements, they want new users' role to default to that custom role, instead of our regular "User" which Andrew mentioned has too much permissions than what they're comfortable with.

Andrew Allen Happy to let you know that we will implement this feature request you have raised.
here we would like to share below with you our design mock up to collect your feedback.
We will add a button on the role management page called 'Initial Role.' Clicking it will open a dialog where you can choose the role for syncing new users.
Specifically, there will be a first dropdown in the dialog to select the appropriate role. If you choose 'Dashboard Only' or 'Restricted Viewer' (where 'Dashboard Only' means no access to any assets), there will be no additional dropdown, and new users will be synced with the chosen role: 'Dashboard Only' or 'Restricted Viewer.'
If you choose another role, including any custom roles you have created, there will be a second dropdown that lets you select a backup role for when the role selected in the first dropdown becomes unavailable or its seats are exhausted (i.e., when the selected role has consumed all available seats). The backup role can be 'Dashboard Only' or 'Restricted Viewer.' In User Management, when you select 'Sync Teams User,' the same dialog will appear, allowing you to confirm the current settings and sync users.
